Swimming Properly is the Key to a Healthy Happy Life
About US
About Us
We are all about swimming, seeing everyone learn to swim properly. We are all about the swimmer, small focused class sizes and private lessons for that extra personal experience, and all about families, creating environments where families can come and learn to swim together, offering lessons from newborn to adult with swimming lessons for all.

Our Story
All About Swimming is a brand new swim school started out of a passion for swimming properly and education around water. At All About Swimming, we aim to teach children and adults of all ages and abilities to learn to swim properly and learn all about swimming. Our founders, Neil and Angela a husband and wife team, with their years of knowledge and experience have created this brand new swim school to teach people all about swimming.
Angela Wilson
Angela’s Swimming Career
Angela started swimming as a toddler and won her first competition at age 5. She began training before and after school and competed for Scotland in the World, European and Commonwealth Games qualifying for the Olympic Games, at the age of 15, at the European Games in 1994 with the 4th fastest time in the world. She dominated Scottish swimming for 10 years, remaining national champion for almost a decade.
Even though Angela hit the wall 1/10th of a second behind the winner, because of a change in the rules she did not go to the Olympic Games in Barcelona in 1992. She continued to train and compete and took part in the Commonwealth Games in 1994. Ill health forced her to retire, and she began to teach children to swim.

Business Woman
Over the years Angela has run her own swim schools as well as those for leisure and private health clubs. In 2002 she set up her own swim school and results were quickly picked up by the press. She ran her own franchised swim school for many years before starting up All About Swimming. Angela has taught 200 children and adults to swim in the first term alone. She has now added another pool in Essex to her original one and has just opened up in Kent.
Angela is a Taverner and a member of the APPG for Women in Business. She is also a devoted fundraiser for charities.
Her inspiration
Her mum Jean is an incredibly inspiring figure in her life. She made a name for herself by representing Scotland in the Commonwealth Games of 1970 achieving national champion status and earning the title of sports personality of the year!
Jean was involved in setting up both swim schools and still gives Angela advice and guidance today. Despite facing a challenging diagnosis a decade ago, she remains a beacon of inspiration to all who cross her path. “When I hear others draw parallels between my mum and myself I’m filled with profound gratitude and blessing for being raised by such an extraordinary woman.”
